Parts Associate – Full Time 

MacDougalls’ Cape Cod Marine Service, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, detail-orientedindividual to join our experienced procurement team. The individual will be responsible for unloading, receiving, and distributing items to technicians and customers in support of daily marina operations.  Other duties include cycle counting, maintaining a neat and organized workspace, and assisting the team with other tasks as necessary. Marine experience is preferred but not required.

The business is situated right on Falmouth Harbor. Position offers competitive salary, full benefits, and the opportunity for growth for the right individual.

 

Fiberglass/Paint Technician – Full Time

MacDougalls’ Cape Cod Marine Service is looking to immediately hire a Fiberglass/Paint Technician. Candidate must be capable of performing glass work from minor repairs and gel coat touch ups to major structural repairs and modifications. Also, must have strong technical knowledge of laminating products, techniques, and procedures.

Working hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is possible during busy periods.

Hourly pay will be based on experience. Benefits are contingent upon completing the 90-day introductory period.

Required education: High school or equivalent/Marine Industry Certifications

Required experience: Fiberglass/Paint Technician: 2 years

 

Canvas Technician – Full Time

MacDougalls’ Cape Cod Marine Service is looking to immediately hire a Canvas Technician.

Working hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is possible during busy periods.

Hourly pay will be based on experience. Benefits are contingent upon completing the 90-day introductory period.

Applicants must:

  • Assist the Lead Canvas Tech with marine canvas products (biminis, enclosures, covers and cushions)
  • Assist the pattern development process
  • Install marine hardware such as fasteners and frames
  • Maintain a clean working area

 

General Boat Yard Team Member – Full Time

We are looking for a General Boatyard team member to support boatyard operations for a prestigious year-round, full-service marina. Some of the most important responsibilities is to power wash boats, prep & paint boat bottoms and assist our technicians across several departments.

We’d like you to have stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads. You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to safety guidelines. MacDougalls’ Cape Cod Marine Service is committed to training and investing in employees that show dedication and aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assist painters, carpenters, engine technicians or other tradespeople on-site
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to perform labor tasks
  • Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)
  • Bottom paint and wax boats
  • Perform other boatyard/marina duties as needed Requirements
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety rules
  • Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
  • Must be dependable with an excellent work ethic
